A CE marking is legally required in all countries covered by the European Economic Area (EEA). The EEA includes the European Union (EU) plus Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein. Please check the following list of the EEA countries.
When you wish to place your product on the market in one or more of these countries, the CE marking must be affixed to your product, regardless whether this product was manufactured in the EEA. The CE marking serves as an indication that the product complies with the requirements of the EEA.
Member states of the EEA are not allowed to obstruct placement of a product with a CE marking on the market. Apart from that the EEA countries are also not allowed to set additional product requirements. This will secure the placement of your product with a CE marking on the EEA market.
Despite that the CE marking is required only in the EEA countries, a large number of products with a CE marking is also accepted in other countries, such as Turkey and Switzerland. Our specialists cannot only assist you with the procedure leading to placing your product on the market within the EEA, but also with placement on the international markets, such as Canada, China, Turkey, The United States, Russia, Australia and Switzerland.
