Typically, EU Type Certificates such as ATEX certificates which are issued by a notified body contain a reference number which relate to an internal reference and/or test report which is correlated to that specific certificate. From the perspective of the legislation, the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU there is no specific obligation or requirement other than the traceability of the EU Type certificate.
